I just cannot get around to blogging regularly. And that’s just not because I am lazy (which I’m not, for the record!) but sometimes I really do think who will be willing to hear my rant.
Anyway, with summer approaching and the weather getting considerably better, it’s time to renew and replenish my first love: Stargazing. If my telescope could talk, it would say “I am so bored and there’s no stars to look at in the darkness that’s your basement”. So Mission One for Summer 2012: Put my dear telescope to use and plan stargazing trips. Oh and also, totally looking forward to the Super Moon of the Year 2012.
I need to write that in bold letters and post it around my room so I can be reminded time and again of what really stirs my soul.
On a different note, I cannot believe the hype the Indian media is creating for Sachin Tendulkar. It’s as if they do not want to leave him alone and let him be. I do think the Indian media has a long, long way to go before they really understand what it means to be a journalist or a news reporter or even a presenter for that matter. The obsession with Super Stars have got to stop if it only includes just mindless bashing of a person or what they should or should not do. I know quite a few people will say I am upset because they are bashing Sachin Tendulkar. I don’t think it’s the entire truth. Every time I gather enough patience to watch the Indian news, I end up regretting that decision. Anyway, I have a lot more to say on this but I guess I will hold it off till another day.
For now, it’s on to sunny days and clear night skies…
There is something haunting in the light of the moon; it has all the dispassionateness of a disembodied soul, and something of its inconceivable mystery. ~Joseph Conrad
